Selective Flotation of Elemental Sulfur from Pressure Acid Leaching Residue of Zinc Sulfide

نویسندگان

چکیده

An efficient flotation process was developed to selectively recover elemental sulfur from a high-sulfur pressure acid leaching residue of zinc sulfide concentrate. The mineralogy analysis showed that the content reached 46.21%, and 81.97% existed as which major mineral in primarily pellet aggregate biconical euhedral crystal. concentrate product with 99.9% recovery 83.46% purity obtained using one-time blank rougher, two-time agent-added roughers, cleaners Z-200 collector Na2S + ZnSO4 Na2SO3 depressant. experiment return water indicated cycle use had no adverse effect on performance sulfur. manifested main minerals directionally went into products. Most entered while other almost completely tailing. Main valuable elements lead, zinc, silver tailing sulfides could be recovered by lead smelting. proposed can realize comprehensive components thus it has wide industrial application prospect.

Leaching Recovery of Zinc, Cobalt and Manganese from Zinc Purification Residue

This paper reports on the recovery of zinc, cobalt and manganese by two-step leaching of zinc-plants purification residue with sulfuric acid. The residue, hot filter press cake (HFC), contains 14 % ZnO, 4.8 % Co3O4 and 22.9 % MnO. Effects of different parameters are determined and used to optimize the process. With acid to hot filter press cake (HFC) stoichiometry of 0.85, acid concentration of...

Investigations into Recycling Zinc from Used Metal Oxide Varistors via pH Selective Leaching: Characterization, Leaching, and Residue Analysis

Metal oxide varistors (MOVs) are a type of resistor with significantly nonlinear current-voltage characteristics commonly used in power lines to protect against overvoltages. If a proper recycling plan is developed MOVs can be an excellent source of secondary zinc because they contain over 90 weight percent zinc oxide. The oxides of antimony, bismuth, and to a lesser degree cobalt, manganese, a...

Leaching of Lead and Zinc from a Low-Grade Oxide Ore in Citric Acid Media

Leaching of a low-grade lead and zinc oxide ore was studied by an organic reagent, citric acid. The quadratic mathematical models were developed for the relationship among the influential parameters and lead and zinc recoveries. Leaching rate was strongly affected by the interactive effects of factors. It was also found that the quadratic effects of stirring speed and linear<e...

Behavior of zinc from spent zinc-carbon batteries by selective leaching with sodium hydroxide

Physical methods such as crushing and sieving followed by magnetic separation steps were applied to separate non-magnetic material (88.4 wt%) from zinc-carbon spent batteries. The oversize material was processed by eddy current separation to recover zinc sheet, carbon rods, and plastics. The undersize fraction (-2.36 mm) with a metal composition of 15.5% Zn, 17.5% Mn, and 1.4% Fe was used for t...
